Elced is a character created by Taylor Gorrell appearing in Kid Icarus: Clash of Angels. One of the Synthetic Angels, he is an enemy of Pit and Trip that has a short run before being destroyed.
Appearance[]
Elced has the appearance of a 16-year-old (or 13-year-old, if you believe Sakurai) boy with teal eyes and purple hair that appears blocky-style. His outfit is a standard Synthetic Angel outfit, colored teal and trimmed with green, but it appears stiff in every aspect. His wings are a light teal, but the feathers are blocky, almost 8-bit textured.
Personality[]
Elced's character design is comparable to Game and Watch sprites, as his movements are position-to-position with no in-between state, complete with a small beeping noise with each change. Elced cannot talk, but he is often seen clapping with a closed-eye smile, implying that he is easily amused. Like all Synthetics, he holds high respect for Parshath.
Abilities[]
Elced's odd movements are adept at psyching out his opponents. He has basic weapon knowledge, like all Synthetic Angels. His preferred weapon type is the Orbitars. The Elced Orbitars are unlockable.
His battle, however, plays out like an RPG battle, complete with 8-bit remix of the boss theme. You must take turns with each character, then Elced gets to make his own moves. His Orbitars are treated as separate characters.
Trivia[]
- Elced's name is a pun of "LCD", the format that Game and Watch games were played on.
- His Game and Watch-esque movements and blocky design make him look similar to the Aurum from Uprising, with Trip even commenting that Elced is some "Aurum reject".
